Live 1940s radio commerical breaks performed between sets from sponsors such as Ovaltine, Lucky Strike, and Pepsodent!

Participate in a real 1940s radio show, including mock “radio dramas” and “news bulletins.” Voice-act a few lines from old scripts and hear it played!

Follow & watch actors perform famous scenes from 1940s movies like “Casablanca” & “South Pacific” in the audience & on authentic sets throughout the event!

Poster-making craft station: Create your own 1940s and 50s-style posters!

Stop by the Colorado 10th Mountain Division’s Historical Display and meet their living history educators!

Meet 1940s broadcaster, Edward R. Murrow and try your hand with “on air” vintage radio presenting on real 1940s broadcasting equipment!

Other fun happenings at the Ball

Swing dancers will heat up the dance floor under a canopy of movie set lights while cigarette girls hand out rations. Attendees will have the opportunity to have their photos taken with WWII planes and military vehicles, stop by the Tango Tango club tent or the “Cantina” tent, to enter the 1940’s costume contest and dance the night away in a Conga Line! And to top the night off in grand style we’ll announce the end of the war with an authentic 1940’s radio announcement complete with a confetti drop and celebration!
