I’m honored to share a little about myself and my pin up journey.

I joined the pin up world about 10 years ago as Dottie VonVelvet and I’ve never looked back.
My love for vintage started when I was a little girl, watching my Nanny ( and pin up namesake) be the glamorous lady that she always was. Now I incorporate the lifestyle into my everyday life and share that love with my husband and children. We love thrifting, antiquing, car shows and pin up/tattoo conventions. I started my own little vintage shop during the pandemic on Ig, @vintagevonvelvet and I have a booth at a local antique shop too!

I relocated to rural NE Colorado 3 summers ago from Florida and I’m adoring the simple life out here in the country.
I have the honor of being the President of the NE Colorado chapter of the esteemed social group, The Luscious Ladies. We host the annual Haxtun Queen of the car show pin up contest, bringing some pizzazz to our little farm town. I am also a member of the Colorado platoon of the Battlin’ Betties and I’m thrilled to dedicate my time to our amazing veterans and first responders. Lastly, I write the Dear Dottie advice column for PinUp Style magazine.

Supporting my fellow pin ups will always be one of my favorite parts of this community and culture.
